Finding and exporting your Buildertrend data

What it holds

Jobs and supported operational grids retain project and financial information, such as budgets and time-clock entries. Documents, photographs, plans and daily logs require attention beyond the grid spreadsheets.

Where Buildertrend shows the size

1. Set Jobs List to include all jobs and use the upper-right Export control.
2. Count the spreadsheet data rows for the job inventory.
3. Repeat for supported budget, time-clock or other grids, keeping the different record types identifiable.

Plan and admin role. Export is available only on supported grids. Confirm grid visibility and export permissions with the account admin or support.

Exporting the full history

1. Export an unrestricted Jobs List to Excel.
2. Repeat for other supported grids after selecting complete views.
3. Ask support or the account manager to arrange a full account extraction covering documents, photos and daily logs.

Grid Excel files reflect the current view and exclude photos, plans and other files.

Public documentation does not establish a single-click entire-account archive.
