Finding and exporting your ClickUp data

Use an all-location task CSV to measure workspace volume in records. The workspace export requires Business or above; lower subscriptions can export individual List or Table views.

What it holds

ClickUp tasks retain work descriptions, properties, comments and time estimates. Attachments are associated with tasks, but workspace CSV exports contain their links rather than the files.

Where ClickUp shows the size

  1. Open the Workspace avatar menu > Settings > All settings > Imports / Exports.
  2. Export task data covering every relevant Space and its Folders, Subfolders and Lists.
  3. Count task data rows, excluding headers and avoiding duplicate locations if exports were split.

Plan and admin role. Workspace task export requires the Business plan or higher. A separate export-role requirement is not documented; use an account with access to the required settings and locations.

Exporting the full history

  1. In Settings > Imports / Exports, select the desired Spaces, Folders, Subfolders and Lists.
  2. Run the CSV export; divide very large workspaces into smaller location groups if a job fails.
  3. Download within one hour, then retrieve linked attachments separately and use the ClickUp API for material absent from the CSV.

The CSV carries task fields, comments, time estimates and attachment hyperlinks, not attachment binaries.

Individual List or Table exports are the fallback below Business and should not be assumed to cover the entire workspace.

You don't need to run an export to talk to us, and there's no need to clean it first — removing personal data is part of our work.
