Finding and exporting your Five9 data

Measure the offloaded recording archive first because platform retention is short. Use recorded audio duration rather than total call activity when measuring the archive.

What it holds

Audio recordings are normally sent to an organization’s FTP or SFTP destination as they are saved. Platform call logs and contact-session records have separate short retention periods; longer audio and transcript history depends on what the organization offloaded or contracted to keep.

Where Five9 shows the size

  1. Have the administrator identify the FTP/SFTP destination configured in VCC Administrator.
  2. Sum audio durations on that server and any later archive locations; if only byte sizes exist, estimate hours per GB from a measured sample and label the result as an estimate.
  3. Run available call-log reports and compare talk time with the stored audio as a reasonableness check, not a substitute for recording duration.

Plan and admin role. A Five9 administrator configures uploads in VCC Administrator. Reporting access follows the permissions that administrator assigns.

Exporting the full history

  1. Confirm the configured recording destination with the administrator in VCC Administrator.
  2. Copy all available audio and produced transcripts from the FTP/SFTP archive into durable storage.
  3. Export still-available call reports to retain call dates, campaign identifiers and duration for matching.

Audio is retained until the earlier of 30 days or successful FTP/SFTP offload. Published call-log retention is 60 days and contact-session retention 120 days, subject to law or contract.

Customers are expected to preserve their own downloads; extra storage may be purchasable.

If uploads were not configured, ask the account team which files remain and whether the contract provides extended storage.
